Spencer began his glass blowing career as an apprentice in January of 1993, in Centralia, Washington. He worked at the glassblowing studio that produces glass products made with ash from the famous Mt. St. Helen's eruption.

In April of 1996 Spencer started his own business in Post Falls, Idaho while working as an apprentice with a master glass blower. In 2004 Erlendson Art Glass moved to downtown Coeur d'Alene. Preferring the serenity of the North Idaho mountains Spencer is now creating his masterpieces in Cataldo, Idaho where inspiration is right outside his front door.

Some of Spencer's styles are incalmo bowls & platters. He also creates sculptures that range from cowboy hats to sea conches. Along with fluted bowls and vases, there are vegetables and Swedish style perfume bottles. His most recent passion are sculpted fresh water trout, modeled after the native trout in the Coeur d'Alene Lake. All of which are one of a kind hand-blown masterpieces, created using techniques that date back over 2000 years.

Erlendson Art Glass is displayed at fine art galleries both internationally and nationally.
